Parents Teacher Meetings
In person Parent Teacher Meetings will take place from Monday 30th January to Thursday Feb 2nd.
All scheduling for the Parent Teacher Meetings wil take place on the Eolas App. It is important that you have this installed to book your meetings.
Bookings for parents with multiple children is open from Jan 20th and booking for parents with one child in the school is open from tomorrow Jan 21st.
When you log into the Eolas app, click on the scheduler which will give you a list of all available time slots. A written report of items discussed at the parent teacher meeting will be available on the Eolas App from Friday 3rd February.
Holidays The school will close for the Bank holiday on February 6th and for Mid Term Break on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th of February.
The school will be closed on Friday March 17th for St Patrick’s Day.
The school will close for Easter Holidays on Friday 31st March at 12.00 noon, reopening Monday 17th April.
Half Day School Closures
The school will be closed at 12.00pm on the following days for mandatory staff training for the implementation of the new primary language curriculum.
Friday 3rd February Wednesday 15th February Thursday 16th March Friday 28th April.
Communion and Confirmation
Confirmation takes place on Saturday March 25th at 10.30am and First Penance will take place the last week of March. First Communion is on Sunday 14th May at 10.00am. Further details can be obtained from the Parish office on 045-860281.

School Enrolment takes place from Jan 12th to February 2nd Enrolment forms are available online in the downloads section of the school website www.coilldubhns.ie.
Battle of the Books
We are running the Battle of the Books again this year. We would urge parents to encourage their children to take part in this reading for pleasure initiative which finishes with a quiz and fancy dress party.
Swimming School swimming lessons for 3rd/4th classes will commence on Monday 20th February and will run for six sessions up to March 27th. This year lessons cost € 54.00 in total. They should be paid for before the lessons commence. Swimming lessons are a mandatory part of our PE Curriculum. Only children with current doctor’s notes will be excluded from the lessons. If you have any difficulty in relation to swimming you can contact the principal via the school office to discuss your concerns.
Free After School Activities School will be running a program of free after school activities for 6 weeks from Tuesday 7th February from 2.40 to 3.40pm.
1st /2nd class can do sports games and skills development with Ms Leacy. 3rd /4th class can do chess club with Ms Coyne. 5th /6th class can do cooking lessons with Ms Linehan.
Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Please e mail us at office@coilldubhns.ie if you would like your child/children to take part in any of these programs.
